Long February Updates

Wow!! ELL State Testing is going great! I am so proud of all of our students! They are all working very hard! We should be finished by the end of Tuesday (2/17). Thank you for having them get lots of sleep and eat a healthy breakfast! This is helping.

February 10th: Hat Day
A 4th grade class is raising money for the St. Louis Aquarium. For 50 cents students can wear a hat during the school day.

Early Release: February 11th
Students will leave school at 1:40 pm. Teachers have meetings.

Long Valentine's Parties: Friday, February 13th at 2:00-3:00 pm
Every student brings in Valentines to give to all of the students in their class. Some classes need students to bring in Valentine boxes. Check with your child's teacher to see what your child needs for Friday. Store bought valentines can be bought at Schnucks, Dollar Tree, Shop N Save, Walgreens, Walmart, and Target.
I have pinned, on Pinterest, some fun Valentines that can be made. Please click on the link below to see more Valentine ideas.

If you do not wish to have your child participate in Valentine's Day, please let me know. Also, if you need help making or getting your child's Valentines, I am here to help.

Book Fair: Friday, February 12th-20th: Book Fair
Students can buy books from our Book Fair. It will be in the Long Library.

No school because it is President's Day. We are off school to recognize and honor all the Presidents of the United States.

Long Prism Night:  Thursday, February 19th
Prism is an optional Science project that can be done, at home. Prism Projects are due this week. Families and students can come to Long School on Thursday, February 19th from 3:45 pm-6:00 pm to see all the Long School Prism Projects.

I hope you have a great month! Please email me with any questions or concerns!
