We Love to Learn About Different Countries!

This week was so much fun! In Kindergarten, we learned about the countries of Mexico and South Korea.
Claudio helped us to learn all about Mexico. We colored a flag from Mexico. Claudio helped us say a few Spanish words. We had so much fun!

Emma's Mom came to our class to teach us about South Korea! We are so lucky!

Emma's mom helped us learn about South Korea by showing us a Power Point. We learned many facts about South Korea.

We learned it takes 14 hours to fly from St. Louis to South Korea. Wow!

We learned all about the Korean flag and the symbols.

Emma's Mom brought us some Korean candy! It was so yummy!

Emma and her mom are wonderful readers! They read us Goodnight Moon. Emma read the book in English, and her Mom read the book in Korean.

Thank you, Eunja Yoon!!! What a wonderful day!!!

Next week, we will learn about Rwanda. We can't wait!

The Rams' Mascot came into our room!!! Wow!!!!

Making Cards for Active Soldiers and Veterans

With the help of friends from the Rams organization and friends from Edward Jones, we made cards for soilders. I am so happy with our Writers! They were drawing some wonderful pictures that included great details! I love that our Writers are stretching the sounds they hear, as they write their sentences.

Landforms

The 2nd graders have been studying landforms. Each 2nd grader did a Google Presentation or a poster over a landform. Together, we synergized(worked together) to build a volcano. We also synergized to perform an experiment. We followed each step to make the volcano erupt. Each student made a brief hypothesis or prediction before the experiment. We checked back at the end to see if our hypothesis were correct. What fun!!

We will use these pictures to help us write and discuss our Volcano experiment.

Wear Rams Clothing Tomorrow

Don't forget to wear Rams clothing or blue and gold clothing for tomorrow. The Rams Organization will be at Long to help the students make cards that will benefit a local charity.
