September Early Release Day: September 18th

Most months, we have an Early Release Day. On these days, students go home at 1:40pm. Teachers will use this time to learn new and exciting ways to help your child be successful. September's Early Release Day is on Wednesday, September 18th. If your student is doing something new on Early Release Days, you might want to talk with them about this.

Share Chair

After Center Time, students who made books get to share and read their books. The child sharing gets to sit in the "Share Chair". The other children practice their proactive listening skills.

We love Sharing Chair Time!

Friday, September 6th: Hat Day/Long Lawn Day

 HAT DAY!
Tomorrow,(Friday) we are raising money for a Lindbergh Student that lost a lot in a fire.
Give a $1.00 and wear a hat.

Long LAWN DAY
Lawn Day is a day students will be doing sport like activities (racing, jumping, volleyball, etc).  Lawn Day is tomorrow Friday, September 6th. Students need to wear tennis shoes and socks.

Learning Centers

We are practicing working in Learning Stations. All children will get to do all of the learning centers. In the Listening Center, we listen to books on the iPad. In the Reading Center, we color and cut out books that go along with our colors. In the Review Center, we make shapes out of play dough. In the Writing Center we create small books with pictures and words. The other center is a Teacher Center. In this center, I meet with a small group of students. We work on writing letters and letter sounds.

We really like working in our centers!

Yellow

We found the color yellow as we were walking down the halls. The color yellow makes us happy!

I Spy Green

We went on a green hunt today! We looked all over the playground for the color green. Ask your child about all the green things we found.
